Durham Connects

Durham Connects is a website which links to local councils and public sector organisations to provide seamless access to information on a wide range of services available in County Durham.

The website has been produced by the County Durham eGovernment Partnership (CDeGP), which in turn is made up of all eight local councils in County Durham.

CDeGP's vision is to 'work together and across all boundaries to deliver quality, joined up, customer focused services, regardless of personal means, locality and circumstances', and the Durham Connects site aims to meet this goal.

The concept is simple; you don't need to know which council does what, and there's no need to visit a number of websites, Durham Connects joins everything together and gives you direct access to individual council information.

Not only does Durham Connects make it easy for you to find information, you can also apply online for some services.

Over time the site will expand and the number of services available online will increase, so that you will be able to do more and more things without having to visit a council office. The amount of information covered by Durham Connects will also grow, as the CDeGP organises links with other key public and voluntary organisations in the area.
